OpenText AppEnhancer 22.2 has arrived
The latest version of AppEnhancer (formerly ApplicationXtender) brings key workflow automation and cloud readiness features.
OpenText, a worldwide leader in information management, released AppEnhancer 22.2, delivering an impressive set of integrations and new features.
The most visible update is the new name, ‘AppEnhancer’. Industry veterans know this is not the first name change for the product, nor the last. Similar to the way Enterprise Content Management was rebranded as ‘Content Services’, the product’s new name does a good job of identifying where the product fits in today’s market and OpenText’s extensive product portfolio.
AppEnhancer is a content management system that can be deployed as a standalone application, but it can also be used to enhance other applications.

What’s new in AppEnhancer?
New integrations
OpenText Core Signature
AppEnhancer 22.2 provides direct integration with OpenText Core Signature.
Core Signature can now be used with AppEnhancer documents for signature, approval, notification, etc.
AppEnhancer can now archive documents from Core Signature workflows and events.
OpenText AppWorks
AppEnhancer 22.2 brings full feature parity with the legacy workflow manager engine’s viewer and document management capabilities with deeper integration into AppWorks.
Support for AE native viewer.
Improved document handling.
Streamlined metadata management via simplified REST resources.
Cloud Readiness
Organizations of all shapes and sizes have adopted a cloud-first approach to content management. In addition to the traditional windows MSI installation packages, AppEnhancer 22.2 includes Docker images for the deployment of selected AppEnhancer components using the Docker container runtime.
