Revolution Data Systems to Acquire OpenText AppEnhancer Division of Shell Office Systems
Abita Springs, Louisiana, June 13, 2022 – Revolution Data Systems (RDS) and Shell Office Systems today announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Revolution Data Systems will acquire Shell Office Systems’ OpenText AppEnhancer business unit.
AppEnhancer (formerly named ApplicationXtender) is an industry-leading content management solution that scans, stores, retrieves, and preserves digital information.
Under the terms of the agreement, RDS will provide ongoing software support and professional services to clients utilizing AppEnhancer. Shell Office Systems will continue to provide world-class service to these clients for hardware support, filing systems, document conversion, and other related products and services.
The acquisition includes clients in a diverse range of industries, primarily located in Florida and Georgia.
RDS is one of the largest and most respected AppEnhancer support providers in the US with over 300 clients and thousands of users globally. RDS has supported the product since the 1990s and has collectively over 150 years of technical service expertise with AppEnhancer.
